Hello, I’m Michelle Gemo, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a certified birth doula, I bring a nurturing, hands-on approach to every family I serve—just as I’ve learned from my own mother, who was also a doula. Growing up, I watched my mom’s passion for supporting families during their births, and I’ve always admired the gentle, empowering presence she brought into every room. Inspired by her example, I’m honored to be following in her footsteps and offering that same support to new families.

With 15 years of experience as a nanny and working in childcare, I understand the deep importance of emotional and physical care. But my path didn’t stop there. I also spent two years working as a receptionist in an OBGYN office, where I witnessed firsthand the incredible need for compassionate, holistic support throughout pregnancy and birth. I saw the difference that personalized care makes—whether it’s offering a listening ear, providing comfort during appointments, or helping families feel heard and supported during their birth experience.

I come from a large, tight-knit Italian family, and they’ve taught me the value of connection, loyalty, and unconditional love. Our family gatherings are full of laughter, good food, and deep bonds. The close relationships I share with my family have shaped the way I approach my work as a doula. Just like family, I believe that every birth should be surrounded by a team of people who offer not only knowledge and experience but also care, empathy, and support.

As a doula, my goal is to offer you more than just the basics. I want to help you feel empowered, informed, and confident as you navigate this life-changing journey. I believe in building a relationship with each family I work with, ensuring that your needs are met and your birth experience is everything you hope for and more.
